Special Thanks to San Antonio Triple Play Academy and Coaching Staff.

My son spent two years with the Triple Play Mustangs.  I knew when I signed my son up for this Academy I had two seasons left to get him ready for high school ball.  My son a committed player was given the opportunity to learn the different positions of the game and was taught how to play the position, although it was up to my son to master the position.  Of course as well as any other child you are more talented in certain positions, however with that being said, when the high school coaches ask my son to perform in different positions he was able to do that.  I can not thank the Academy and the coaching staff enough for this. As my son and his family move on to high school ball, the Academy and the coaching staff will never ever be forgotten. I know with my sons experience there will be several other athletes that come out of this academy and grow there baseball dreams.

13u Navy Wins 2nd at Mizuno Fall Classic

The SATP 13u Navy team competed in Mizuno's 1st Annual Fall Classic this past weekend.  They went undefeated through Saturday's pool games to seed #2 for Sunday's games. It was a hard battle but lost to the XS Mizuno team in the Championship game, 3-1.

SA Triple Play 14u Wins Summer Tourney #1

Our SA Triple Play 14u team went undefeated this past weekend to win the Austin Select 14u Summer Tourney #1.  Great job, Mustangs!!

13u Ties for 3rd at San Marcos May Madness

8u Wins Mother's Day Madness in Round Rock

SATP 8u competed in the Mother's Day Madness tournament in Round Rock this past weekend.  They seeded #1 after Saturday's pool games.  They played in the Championship game on Sunday against Texas Steel and run-ruled them 20-2 to win the tournament!

The boys wore pink in honor of their moms, with their baby nicknames on the back of their shirts - and made us moms PROUD!  Way to go Mustangs!!

12u Ties for 3rd At Mother's Day Madness

SATP 12u wore pink in honor of their moms as they competed in the Round Rock Mother's Day Madness this past weekend. 16 teams came to compete in this AAA tournament.  The boys seeded #6 after Saturday's pool play, and played through 3 tough games on Sunday.  They tied for 3rd place as they lost against the Yarddogs in the semi-finals.  You played tough Mustangs - it was a long day - and you made us moms proud!

12u Wins Boerne Take it Yard Tournament Lower Flight Championship

SATP 12u played in the Boerne Take it Yard tournament last weekend.  They struggled on Saturday's games but were successful on Sunday by going undefeated and beating the SA Hackers in the semi-finals and the El Paso Sun Kings in the Championship game.  They came in first place in the Lower Flight Championship

8u Wins 2nd in McAllister Park AAA Tournament

Our SATP 8u team played in the Triple A McAllister Park tournament this past weekend.  They went undefeated on Saturday to seed #3 for Sunday's games.  They defeated the SA Titans to make it to the Championship game against the Laredo Braves.  The boys have been here before so know what it takes to win, but they just weren't able to pull it off this tournament.  They can't wait for the next one so they can.

8u Wins 2nd at March Mayhem

SATP 8u played in the Austin Select March Mayhem tournament last weekend.  Winning both games on Saturday to seed #1 for Sunday's tournament play, they were undefeated through the semi-finals.  Inning one of the Championship game, a player takes an injury in the knee and is out of the game.  Our SATP fought hard with only 9 players but came up short in the last inning.  They won second place.  We are proud of them for continuing to fight hard and maintain their desire to win.  We will get 'em next time, Mustangs!!

12u Places 5th in Phoenix

Our 12u SATP team came in 5th place out of 32 teams that competed last weekend.  Competition was fierce and play level was high.  We were hoping for a 1st place win but are proud of our boys for beating the #1 seed from California.  It is competition like this that helps us to get better and compete at a higher level.  It was a great experience, the boys bonded and saw many spring training games, and can't wait for their next high level tournament.

SA Triple Play 12u On the Way to Phoenix

This spring break, our SATP 12u Triple A Mustang team is on their way to Phoenix, Arizona, to participate in the Triple Crown Spring Championships - Session 2.  Our boys have been preparing for this tournament for months and cannot wait to visit MLB spring training games and practices.  This is a once-in-a-lifetime-opportunity and we are very proud of our Mustangs for their hard work to get to this venue. 32 teams from all over the country (predominately California) are competing in this tournament.  2 years ago we brought home second place.  We hope to bring home first this year.

SA Triple Play 12u Wins 2nd in Round Rock

SA Triple Play 12u played in Round Rock this past weekend in the 12U Triple A Spring Fling.  They won their first game and lost their second to seed #6 for Sunday's game play.  The boys played 3 games on Sunday to make it to the Championship game against the Scorpions.  It was an intense, hard-fought game, but the Mustangs lost 5-4 in the last inning.  Not bad for their first tournament but next time, they want first place.

SA Triple Play 8u Wins 2nd in Round Rock

SATP 8u fought their way through the Round Rock Spring Fling this past weekend.  They played 2 Triple A teams on Saturday, winning the first against the Austin Aces, and tying the second against the Waco Thunder.  The boys seeded #5 and won 2 games on Sunday morning to make it to the Championship game against the Texas Beast.  They fought hard but just couldn't score enough runs to place 1st.  They won 2nd place, but because of this win, are now classified a Triple A team.  Way to go, Mustangs!!

SA Triple Play 8u Wins 2nd at Prospect Park

Sa Triple Play 8u played at Prospect Park this weekend in a 10 team tournament.  They lost game 1 on Saturday morning and won game 2 to seed #5 for Sunday's play.  They defeated the SA Spartans and got to play the #1 seeded team, the Bulldogs, in a rematch. They won the rematch and made it to the Championship game against the #2 seeded team, SA Titans.  They were victorious throughout the entire game until the last inning.  We are so proud of how hard you fought all weekend long, Mustangs!!  We will definitely get 'em next time!!

SA Triple Play 8U Wins Early Bird Classic

Our SATP 8u team also competed this past weekend in the Austin Select Early Bird Classic tournament in Dripping Springs.  They dominated the entire weekend winning all of their games to become the Tournament Champions.  Awesome job, Mustangs!!  What a great weekend for our SA Triple Play teams!

SA Triple Play 13u Wins Early Bird Classic

Our SATP 13u team competed this past weekend in their first tournament together -- the Austin Select Early Bird Classic tournament in Dripping Springs.  Coming off a 2 game loss on Saturday, they came back strong on Sunday to defeat the TBC Baseball in game one.  Then they came from behind in the Championship game against the SA Reds to become the Tournament Champions. Way to fight, Mustangs!!

8u Wins 2nd at 1st Tournament

Our 8u Coach Pitch team played in our first tournament this past weekend at the SE Pony Tournament.  They seeded #1 on Saturday out of 6 teams, going undefeated against their 2 opponents.  They won their first game on Sunday to play against the Broncos of SA in the Championship game.  They were not able to pull off the win, this time around.  We will get 'em next time, boys!

SATP 8u, 12u & 13u at State Tournament

All 3 of our SATP teams competed in the Super Series State Tournament in Round Rock this past weekend.  It was a huge tournament with difficult competition from all over the state.

Our 8u team won both their games on Saturday to seed #1 out of 15 teams for Sunday's pool play.  They fought hard on Sunday to win their first game, but lost in the semi-finals.  This new team placed 3rd in this State Competition.  Great job!!

Our 12u team competed in the American division and went undefeated on Saturday to seed #3 out of 21 teams.  They defeated the Boerne Bombers on Sunday to advance to the semi-finals, but lost against the Scorpions Gold.  3rd in State is something to hang your heads up high, boys!

Our 13u team competed in the American division against 17 teams and won their first game on Saturday and lost their second game.  They fought hard on Sunday to win their first game, but lost to the Austin Angels Red by only 1 run.  You will get 'em next time boys!

Great baseball was played by all 3 teams.  We are proud of you and can't wait to see what you do next!!

SATP 12u Wins Second in Round Rock

Our SATP 12u played in Round Rock this past weekend.  They were undefeated on Saturday to seed #2 for Sunday's pool play.  Our boys won 2 games back-to-back to face the South Texas Longhorns in the Championship game.  They fought hard but lost 4-2 in the 6th inning.  Keep your chins up boys because we'll get 'em next time!

SATP 8u in Round Rock

SA Triple Play 8u competed in the Round Rock Graveyard Rumble this past weekend.  These boys won both games on Saturday to seed #1 for Sunday's pool play.  They were victorious in their first game to make it to the semi-finals, but were defeated in the last inning by Action Baseball. They tied for 3rd place.

We are very proud of you, boys, and we'll get 'em next time!!

SATP 13U Wins Taylor Slug Fest

SATP 13u played in the Taylor Slug Fest this past weekend.  They went undefeated on Saturday against the Round Rock Express and the Wolfpack to Seed #1.  On Sunday they defeated both the Colt 45s and Ambush Baseball to make it to the Championship game.  They defeated the Wolfpack 6-1 to become the 13u Tournament Champions.  Way to go, Mustangs!
